Manka’s Creations officially began in December 2020, but its story started years earlier.
In 2013, I was helping my brother with his catering company while learning from my mother how to make Cameroonian street foods like puff puff and fish rolls. Having spent the first 18 years of my life in Cameroon, food, hospitality and gathering around the table were already deeply woven into how I understood family and community.
Years later, puff puff became the beginning of Manka’s Creations.
Whenever I made it for events, people loved it and asked how they could recreate it at home. I shared instructions, demonstrated the process and even walked people through it over video calls—but it still didn’t come out the same.
That led to one simple question:
What if I could make it easier? That question became Manka’s Puff Puff Mix.
Why Manka’s?
Manka is my middle name, and in my local language it means “a big light.”
That meaning reflects what I hope Manka’s Creations brings into people’s lives: ease in the kitchen, joy around the table and food that puts a smile on someone’s face.
It also connects to a belief at the heart of our brand:
You are loved.
Rooted in the belief that everyone is loved by God, we want the care behind our food and hospitality to help people feel welcomed, valued and loved.
More Than Puff Puff
Manka’s may have started with puff puff, but the vision has grown.
Today, through our mixes and pantry products, freshly prepared meals, catering and food experiences, our goal is simple: to make good food easier to create, easier to enjoy and easier to share.
And we’re building toward something even bigger—a trusted brand families can grow with.
